FAQs

How do I take care of my earrings?

To ensure a long life for your earrings it is encouraged to avoid sleep, exercise, or prolonged tension on clay pendants. It is best to store them laying flat or hanging.

Are my earrings hypoallergenic?

Yes they are! I use 14K Gold Fill, and Argentium Silver to make my ear wires. 14K Gold Fill wire is superior to Gold Plated metals because a larger gold percentage is required and regulated. Pieces made with 14 gf will be long lasting, good for any skin sensitivities, and tarnish resistant. Argentium Silver is a grade above Sterling Silver which is known for its hypoallergenic qualities, bright and tarnish resistant appearance, and long term durability. All of my ear wires are nickel free.

Are my earrings fragile?

Polymer clay is a very durable medium when cured properly. All clay pendants should have flexibility to a certain degree. I would not encourage you to test the this on your earrings, as it can weaken the structure of the cured clay. I test that my clay pendants have been cured properly before each sale. That being said, if you put too much tension near a jump ring, or ear wire it may cause the pendant to rip/break. It is best to treat your polymer clay earrings as though they are fragile to ensure a long life.
